The Eastern Cape area is the start of the sub-tropic shelling region of South Africa. This is where some Indo-Pacific species are also found, and many areas deliver some spectacular shells. Jeffreys Bay is famous for its shells, and areas around East London also deliver good specimens on a regular basis.
