In addition to the many shell species found along the KZN South and North Coasts, the Far Northern regions also deliver species akin with those found in southern Mozambique (tropical species). This is a marine area rich in biodiveristy, and due to its relative remoteness from bustling human activity is still quite pristine; many areas are untouched by human hands and have the potential to deliver greater volumes and variety of shells than areas further southward.
