A1: Cape Columbine
Notes and Information
-
This location relates to the small sandy patches of beach amongst the rocks on the coast around the Cape Columbine Lighthouse.
-
NOTE: it is advisable to wear a wetsuit if you plan on snorkeling here, as the water in this region can drop to temperatures as low as 15 degrees C in Autumn.
-
The area is not known for its species diversity, and the beaches are often littered with black mussel shells. Limpets can, however, be found in abundance on seaward-facing rock walls at low tide.
