This location relates to Mdumbi Beach, near Coffee Bay.

NOTE: the best beach at Mdumbi is the beach accessible from Anchorage Hotel, not the one closer to Mdumbi Backpackers, adjacent to the river mouth.

There are plenty of rock pools to visit, and some of the larger ones can be snorkelled at high tide.

The area often delivers large shells (mostly bivalves, but also gastropods) washed up on the beach itself.
